FORT HALL — Fort Hall police arrested three adults following a high-speed chase on Monday.

Tremond Cerino, Kyler Preacher and Samantha Yazzie, who was allegedly driving the vehicle, were taken into custody for illegal possession or consumption of alcohol, according to a news release. Yazzie is also charged with driving under the influence and obstructing officers.

The incident began when police were notified that a Bannock County sheriff’s deputy was pursuing a black suburban driving at a high rate of speed northbound on Rio Vista Road on the Fort Hall Reservation, according to the news release. A Fort Hall officer located the vehicle on D Avenue and attempted to stop it, but the driver allegedly did not yield.

The pursuit continued onto multiple roads until Fort Hall police used a spike strip that impacted the suspect vehicle’s front passenger side tire.

“After being spiked, the vehicle continued to drive on a flat tire in the Fort Hall area and came to a final stop at Ballard and Rio Vista Road,” according to the news release. “Fortunately, the high-speed chase did not injure anyone or any property.”

The three suspects were all transported and booked into Fort Hall Corrections at the Tribal Justice Center, according to the news release.
