It may be Spring, but local weather officials say we’re not through with snow yet.
The National Weather Service forecast office in Pocatello issued a Special Weather Statement on Monday, warning of possible snow in the mountains and a mixture of rain and snow in the valleys on Wednesday and Thursday.
Elevations between 5,500 and 8,000 feet could see up to 4 inches of snow by Thursday morning, according to the Special Weather Statement issued for most of East Idaho, including Challis, Stanley, Burley, Dubois, Island Park, Driggs, Idaho Falls, Pocatello, Blackfoot, Fort Hall, American Falls, Malad City, Soda Springs, Preston, Montpelier, and surrounding locations.
Weather officials encourage people to watch for further updates if they are planning any activities in the back country areas of the state.
